DIRECTIONS to Blue Heron Cruises
Boarding at Riverbluff Park

Blue Heron Cruises is located in Ashland City, Tennessee, just 35 minutes northwest of Nashville.  We are 25 minutes from Bellevue, 45 minutes from Franklin, 30 minutes from Springfield and 45 minutes from Clarksville.   We board passengers at Riverbluff Park -- directly across the Cumberland River from the new, completely rebuilt Riverview Restaurant.
 
FROM NASHVILLE (about 35 minutes):
  1. Take I-40 West.
  2. Take Exit #204 RIGHT onto Highway #155 West.  Go 3.5 miles
  3. Take Exit #24 LEFT onto Highway #12 North.  Go 13.5 miles.
  4. At the 5th traffic light (with the Ashland City Courthouse on your right), turn LEFT onto Highway #49 West.
  5. Go .3 mile and at the light just before the bridge, turn LEFT onto Bypass Road.
  6. Immediately turn RIGHT on Old Cumberland into Riverbluff Park. Go .2 mile to the parking lot and park in any SINGLE LENGTH spot.  (Double length spots  are reserved for boats and trailers.)
  7. Walk downhill towards the river and board the boat at the public dock.
 
FROM THE NORTH (Springfield) (about 30 minutes):
  1. Take Highway #49 West into Ashland City.
  2. Highway #49 will dogleg to the RIGHT, (to the Courthouse) and then LEFT.  Stay on Highway #49 through the dogleg.
  3. Go .3 mile and at the light just before the bridge, turn LEFT onto Bypass Road.
  4. Immediately turn RIGHT on Old Cumberland into Riverbluff Park. Go .2 mile to the parking lot and park in any SINGLE LENGTH spot.  (Double length spots  are reserved for boats and trailers.)
  5. Walk downhill towards the river and board the boat at the public dock.
 
FROM THE EAST (Opryland Hotel & Donelson) (about 45 minutes):
  1. Take Briley Parkway (Highway #155) North.
  2. Continue past exits for I-65 and I-24.
  3. Take Exit #24 RIGHT onto Highway #12 North.  Go 13.5 miles.
  4. At the 5th traffic light (with the Ashland City Courthouse on your right), turn LEFT onto Highway #49 West.
  5. Go .3 mile and at the light just before the bridge, turn LEFT onto Bypass Road.
  6. Immediately turn RIGHT on Old Cumberland into Riverbluff Park. Go .2 mile to the parking lot and park in any SINGLE LENGTH spot.  (Double length spots  are reserved for boats and trailers.)
  7. Walk downhill towards the river and board the boat at the public dock.
 
FROM THE SOUTH (Brentwood & Franklin) (about 45 minutes):
  1. Take I-65 North.
  2. Take I-440 West; continue on I-440 until it merges LEFT into I-40 West.
  3. Take Exit #204 RIGHT onto Highway #155 West.  Go 3.5 miles.
  4. Take Exit #24 LEFT onto Highway #12 North.  Go 13.5 miles.
  5. At the 5th traffic light (with the Ashland City Courthouse on your right), turn LEFT onto Highway #49 West.
  6. Go .3 mile and at the light just before the bridge, turn LEFT onto Bypass Road.

FROM THE WEST (Dickson) (about 45 minutes):
  1. Take Highway #70 East.
  2. Turn LEFT onto Highway #251 North (River Road).  Go 17 curvy miles.
  3. Highway #251 dead ends into Highway #49.  
  4. Turn RIGHT onto Highway #49 East.  Go across the bridge and immediately turn RIGHT onto Bypass Road.
  5. Immediately turn RIGHT on Old Cumberland into Riverbluff Park. Go .2 mile to the parking lot and park in any SINGLE LENGTH spot.  (Double length spots  are reserved for boats and trailers.)
  6. Walk downhill towards the river and board the boat at the public dock.
